50year
In November of 1959, a small group of Lutheran met in the Largo Civic Auditorium to establish a Lutheran church in Largo. We are blessed to be able to say that some of those same Lutherans are members of Prince of Peace to this day. Our celebration is not only of our 50-year heritage, but of our ministry…past, present and for many years to come. Celebrate with us through these opportunities for fellowship, remembrance and service.

50,000 Hours of Service
What better way to commemorate Prince of Peace’s 50 years of ministry than to do as Jesus calls us…to love and serve others. Our challenge is for our congregation to serve 50,000 hours, and we’re well on our way. Get involved. Start logging your hours any time and fill out an orange card you’ll find in the pew rack. What counts as volunteering?

- at church (singing in the choir, ushering or helping in the kitchen, for example)

- in the community (perhaps at RCS, at school or donating blood)

- serving on a committee or board

- helping a friend (offering a ride, shopping for them or yard work)

Turn in your card weekly or monthly in the offering plate. We’ll not only count up the hours, we’re putting a penny for every hour into a collection to build a church/community building for the Lutheran Church in Haiti.

Volunteer Hours Logged: 50,877 Hrs. We made it!!

Thanks be to God!!
