Ways To Give

We recognize that even as we receive skills to be creative in all other aspects of our life in Christ, we may also be creative in our giving. Below is information compiled for your benefit to help you consider prayerfully how you may give to the ministries of our Lord through your estate.

While we do not presume to give advice in matters of such legal or financial complexity, we encourage you to consult individuals with expertise to provide the assistance you need. As in all matters seek God’s guidance in prayer even as you engage financial counsel and plan for the future.

Gifts to Prince of Peace Lutheran come in many ways and sizes. Listed below are some of the ways you can make a gift to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.
Gifts of Cash
Make your check payable to:
Prince of Peace Lutheran Church
455 Missouri Ave
Largo, FL 33770
Be sure to include a letter informing us of the ministry that you would like to benefit. Do not send cash through the mail.
Testamentary Trusts
A growing number of donors are finding a testamentary charitable remainder trust an attractive way to designate funds from their qualified retirement plans (QRP) to avoid the consequences of hefty income taxes associated with passing on these tax-deferred savings vehicles to their heirs. Donors are encouraged to work with their personal attorney or accountant to draw up the necessary documents.
Qualified Retirement Plans
QRP's are a great way to save for retirement... accumulations build up tax-free until you need them for retirement. But when you go to take the money out, or worse yet, try to pass the accumulated value on to your heirs your qualified plan can become an "IRA - Internal Revenue Account".
That's why qualified retirement plans make great vehicles for making charitable gifts. It's quite possible that by using your qualified retirement plan to make a significant gift to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church you can actually be leaving more of your estate to your heirs and less to estate taxes.
